Getting ready to go to school

First Day of school

I have not been able to blog the way I wanted to for quite some time but this is something which I am doing from my work place as I felt its already too late. Sam started her school on her birthday and boy what an emotional experience it was for us as parents. First day was OK but from second day onwards Sam refused to go to school and she cried very badly for next two days. After that next three days were holidays and next week was very bad as my baby cried for two continuous days for the whole duration of school. Suddenly on Wednesday she reduced crying and by Thursday she was all smiles when I went to pick her up. Next Monday I didn’t send her to school as she had slight fever and she asked me “Amma, Will please send me to school”. I was so moved that I had to control my tears. Now making Sam get ready for school is a cake walk. All these days I didn’t get her school uniform stitched as I didnt have time. Now when I went to my mom’s place I got her uniform stitched and she is so excited to wear the uniform like her “best friends” and go to school. Yesterday was all whites and I didn’t have a chance to click her pics. This morning I had to take her pictures.
Sometimes I feel time should stop, whenever my baby talks like a grown up. I feel I am not getting enuf of her growing up years in spite of me spending good amount of time with her during morning and evening. I feel like spending more time with her but I have to work full time to ensure that Sam has a decent education and we can have a decent living after the retirement. There is no end to these thoughts.
